According to the Department, creative industries account for 2 million jobs in the UK and contribute 6.7% of the nation’s gross domestic product.
We support all those industries in a variety of ways. We advise on the subsistence, licensing and enforcement of copyright, rights in performances, design rights and related rights. We advise on design and trade mark registration in the UK, EU and internationally. We draft licences, publishing agreements, terms and conditions and other contractual documents for businesses in the creative sector. We represent clients before the Chancery Division, Chancery and Patent County Courts, Intellectual Property Office, Copyright Tribunal as well as before arbitrators and mediators. We publish occasional newsletters and hold courses on issues likely to be of interest to businesses and individuals in the creative industries.
